Only two of these are on the peninsula's shopping spine — an antiques house that has held 191 King Street since 1922, and a tableware room at 180, more or less across from it. The market fills Marion Square at the top of the same street on Saturday mornings, and Meeting Street Road carries a plant shop up past the neck. Everything else is over a bridge.
Mount Pleasant has the home and kitchen shops — Johnnie Dodds Boulevard, Long Point Road, and Pitt Street in the Old Village. James Island holds the clay studio in Riverland Terrace and the Folly Road garden centre. Johns Island is further out again, and Park Circle sits north in North Charleston.
