The rest are a drive, and they sort east and west. East: Olive Ateliers in the Arts District, Now Serving in Chinatown, Sooki in Frogtown, Potted in Atwater Village — a chain you can run north up the river in one afternoon. West: Tortoise General Store on Venice Boulevard in Mar Vista, and the Wednesday market on Arizona Avenue in Santa Monica, which opens at eight and is done by one.
