That town is Santa Fe, and it holds thirteen shops across four pockets: the Plaza blocks, Canyon Road, the Railyard, and the working end out along Cerrillos, Rufina and Agua Fria.
The grouping is by what you're after. Home and decor runs to four — High Noon General Store on Galisteo Street, Heritage by Hand in Sena Plaza, Casa Nova in the Railyard, Leslie Flynt on Canyon Road. Furniture, wood and vintage is three: Mostly by Nature, Boyd and Allister in a former tortilla factory, and The Raven's consignment room on Cerrillos. Ceramics and clay is two, Fira and Rainbow Gate. The Plaza blocks, on foot
Galisteo Street carries a general store at 213 and a furniture maker at 201 — the same block, twice over. Heritage by Hand sits in Sena Plaza just off East Palace Avenue, and Rainbow Gate's ceramics room is a few minutes west on Sandoval.
Up Canyon Road
One stop on our list so far — Leslie Flynt's boutique furniture and accessories at 225 — on the street that everyone walks anyway. Short, uphill, and worth doing between the Plaza and the Railyard.
The Railyard
If it's Saturday, the farmers market pavilion on Paseo de Peralta runs eight to one. Casa Nova's home goods are on South Guadalupe, and Las Cosas keeps the kitchen end of it up at DeVargas Center.
Out past Cerrillos
The working end of town: The Raven's consignment room on Cerrillos Road, Fira's clay studio on Rufina, and Plants of the Southwest's native dryland nursery on Agua Fria. Paynes North sits between the two halves, on Camino Alire.
