Nashville

A market and a clay studio in Germantown, two kitchen shops out Highway 100, vintage down 8th Avenue, and a nursery that has been at it since 1932.

Three of these sit within a block of each other in Germantown — the Farmers Market on Rosa L. Parks Boulevard, the garden center inside it, and a ceramics studio in the Taylor Street building — and that corner is where we’d start. Everything after that is a short drive: two kitchen and tabletop shops out Highway 100 in Belle Meade, a general store on 12th Avenue South, vintage at Powell Place and again down 8th Avenue South, a plant shop on East Trinity Lane, a furniture workshop on Annex Avenue in West Nashville, and a nursery north of town on Whites Creek Pike.

It’s grouped below by what you’re after — plants, kitchen and table, vintage, the market and the general store, or the makers. Nothing here paid to be listed, and we haven’t been through these doors ourselves. Where hours are published we’ve noted them; where they aren’t — the two workshops and the East Nashville plant shop — we say so. Confirm before you drive.
