Denver's independents don't sit in one district, which is the first thing to know before you plan a day of it. Homebody is on East 6th in Congress Park; Miller Lane is on Tennyson Street in Berkeley; Overgrown Home is on West 35th in West Highland; Mod Livin has held its ground on East Colfax; City Floral keeps a greenhouse on Kearney Street in South Park Hill; and the workshop end of the list — Where Wood Meets Steel — is up on Washington Street in Globeville. Three more sit just past the city line, in Englewood, Wheat Ridge, and Centennial, and we say so on each of their pages.
The two markets are seasonal and they don't overlap: City Park on Saturday mornings from early May to the end of October, South Pearl on Sundays from May into November. The hours below are the ones the shops publish themselves. Where Wood Meets Steel works by appointment, and House of Alpine and Out of Step Clay publish none at all — write ahead to those three. Nothing on this page is a shop we've visited yet; where we've only researched a place, we say that.
