Boulder
Home. Pearl Street's shops, heirloom furniture makers, ceramics at the foot of the Flatirons, and the best market on the Front Range.
The town we know best. Start on Pearl Street and let it unspool from there.
Boulder is small enough to shop on foot and stubborn enough to have kept its independents. Pearl Street holds the home shops; the furniture makers and the ceramicists are scattered from the studios out east to the foot of the Flatirons; and on Saturdays the whole thing revolves around the market on 13th. The ones marked a Hollow favorite are where our own house came from.
It's grouped below by what you're after — furniture, home, clay, or provisions and the market. Where we've been, we say so; where we're still getting to know a place, we say that too. Bring water and a layer; you're at altitude, and the light will fool you.
